Rob joined Mountgrange in June 2007. Prior to joining Mountgrange, Rob worked as an investment professional from 2002 to 2007 in the London office of JER Partners (“JER”), a fully-integrated private equity and real estate investment management company.
To date, Rob has managed the acquisition, asset management and sale of approximately £1.3 billion of UK real estate. Significant deals include Allied London’s regeneration of Spinningfields in Manchester; the acquisition and subsequent development of a 1.2 acre mixed-use site in Greenwich, London; the acquisition of the Great Eastern Hotel on Bishopsgate, London in a joint venture with the Hyatt Corporation; and the acquisition of a £100 million secondary office portfolio with Catalyst Capital. Rob also designed and implemented JER’s standard UK underwriting and financial model.
Prior to working at JER, Rob trained as an accountant with KPMG from 1998 to 2002 and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since 2001. At KPMG, Rob became a financial modelling specialist, designing in-house tools to help develop KPMG's UK financial modelling strategy. Rob originally trained as an oboist at Manchester's conservatoire of classical music, gaining a BMus (Hons) from Manchester University.
